Having jumped from 3.1.4 to 4.2.0 I can notice a considerable difference.

Speed seems to have jumped greatly. It use to take about twice as long to get into the forum pages of this website than it currently does now.

Assuming, of course, that the website host (3ix) is in a "stable" environment.

 

I have opened up all forum topics for guests to reply. They cannot start a new topic, though they can certainly reply to an existing one. Unfortunately, due to the incident back in the 2008 Summer Olympic Games whereby I opened up the entire forum – we'll still need to review and authorise replies before they are publicly viewable.

 

Additionally, I have a current issue with the emoticons on the forum. The graphics aren't loading properly and it's just the text alternative at the moment.

Fixed the smiley issue.

For some reason, the source files for the smileys were kept in a different directory to the default settings.

They were all found in

../simple-forum/styles/smileys
