Golden girl Mira – September 2006

Golden girl Mira - 2006

Miranda Seng, 9 years old won two gold at the 2006 Australian Taekwondo Nationals (held in Adelaide) and two gold at the 2006 WA State selections. At the Nationals (September 2006), Mira won the u10 sparring for girls black belts 25-28 kgs divison and the u10 technical poomsae for girls 1st poom black belts.

Mira won the same divisions at the WA State selections (July 2006). It was Mira’s first stint at the Nationals, having missed out on the 2005 Nationals in Hobart and she was too young to contest the 2004 Nationals which was held in Perth, WA.

Mira started learning taekwondo when she was 4 and a half years old to follow her older siblings in the sport. Mira’s 2 elder sisters (Karina and Sarah) and older brother (Jarrad) are 2nd poom (dan) black belters. She hopes to go further and gain international success.
