Congratulations Elanie for another “Best Grading” award. Despite having made an error in Taegeuk 3, maybe the examiner didn’t see it:)
Personally, I thought the “power” or “oomph” factor had gone a bit from the last grading. Must work on that – however I am very happy to see you display more control and grace around the floor; footwork for both sparring and self-defence.
It really makes a big difference in hoshinsul whether you hesitate a little or confidently complete your takedown/attack. From what I remember, your actions flowed nicely and continuously – a sign of composure and confidence. Well done!

Congratulations Alice for earning a “Best Grading” award.
I thought your poomsae and technical skills were superb and confidently executed. One of the main aspects that caught my eye was your walk! It is amazing to see the transformation you have undergone from last year – you look much more confident when entering “the court”.
Your patterns were well timed and techniques were accurately placed. For your size and weight, I’m sure your power is up there too. Give it more time and practise – as you grow up you will grow stronger also – your techniques will become much more powerful and effective.
Great display of your sparring skills also. Even though you were up against Ryan Nafranec (State Champion) you really gave a good go at it. I like your combinations and the speed and continuity of them – I think you were slightly faster than Ryan, especially noticable when you two were going kick-for-kick. I’m sure you would beat him if it was point-sparring (semi-contact competition).
