Pooms required for Yellow Belts
This may not be applicable to all, yet I know my classes will struggle with me as an instructor if all they needed to learn was their "pooms" for grading. There were 4 pooms created by a team, that I believe included Master Sok Pong Kim, to add to the grading syllabus for yellow belts. Each Poom contained steps and techniques that may be new and vital for the next Taegeuk pattern. I took a break from Taekwondo some time in 1996 and came back around the beginning of 2003. Personally, I never learnt them, I never knew about them and I don’t know them. So when I started teaching at Rockingham, I videotaped one of the students (Jaimie Edwards) performing them.
Again, videos are to be used as a guide only – some steps/techniques may be incorrect or updated. Going to class is the best way to keep up with the necessary skills.

The team who created the 4 pooms were Mr Sok Pong Kim, Mr Kim Seng and Mr Raffaele DiRenzo. The techniques were those of the next poomsae put into a fluid sequence of movements in a straight line moving forward and returned movements in mirror image.
