Rockingham Club relocating

The Rockingham Club will be relocating over this coming school holidays.

TJ’s Gymsports is moving their venue to a bigger place. We will be following them to the new location at Unit 4, 20 Merchant Drive, Rockingham. I personally haven’t seen the place yet, but Google’s Street view looks rather nice. I’ve been told the place is much, much larger and the sprung "floor" for the gymnastics floor routine area will be doubled. This is the main space that we occupy and utilise when we are there.

There is a public holiday this Monday September 28, 2009 so there will be no training. I will be away in Brisbane from this Wednesday through to the following Monday October 5, 2009. So there will be no training at Rockingham over the school holidays. There is a possibility of the Wednesday October 7, 2009 training – and I will sms you students individually if we can train that night. It depends on whether the venue is ready and usable – since moving and relocating equipment from 31 Dixon Road may take some time. We will definitely be back training on Monday October 12, 2009. From what I understand some schools will have a pupil free day that Monday – but it is NOT a public holiday – so training will start that particular Monday for the 4th term of 2009.

The new venue is still quite close to the old one. According to Google’s site facility, it is 2.6km away equating to about 6 minutes. I would assume that is by car. Have a look at the directions from the 31 Dixon Road site to the new 4/20 Merchant Drive venue. It’s basically 3 roads away.
