Refereeing and judging today's tournament was fun.

However, I feel I'm missing something. I didn't have many students enter today's competition – and of them, I only observed two of my fighters. One I observed from the head table – the other I centre refereed.

Obviously, I can recall and provide feedback for those I saw. However, I didn't see any of the other 5 fighters from Rockingham.

I am thinking of doing less officiating and more coaching duties, for a while. Today was especially difficult because of the number of qualified referees able to officiate. If there were plenty more, I could have been subbed out to be able to coach. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

Anyhow, despite what the final score and outcome of your fights were today – I hope every fighter learned a little more, about themselves, their capabilities and how to develop moving forward.
