This is a short 80 second clip of some of the ATA members participating in the 2008 Western Australian State Taekwondo Championships held in Kwinana on June 7, 2008.

Only videos recorded using my video camera were used. I’m not entirely sure how to utilise the video footages from sources if they are not in mini-dv tape format. Thanks go to Snezzy Leca for providing a steady hand. Other videographers must learn to hold the camera steady and fill in the picture as best as possible.

Mixed bag of results for sparring at the 2008 WA State Taekwondo Championships

You can view our place getters in the "Tournament Results" section of the site. Users can view and upload photos of the tournament in our forum here.

We ended up with eight 1^st Place trophy winners for the Kyorugi part of the Championships. In an effort for those first places, we followed it with fourteen 2^nd Place Silver Medals and five 3^rd Place Bronze Medals.

Everybody wins at 2008 WA State Taekwondo Poomsae Championships

All ATA members who entered the Western Australian State Taekwondo Poomsae Championships came home with something, a trophy and/or a medal.

The beauty of it is, that All of us (individuals) had competitors to go up against to measure our standard amongst others in the state. For those who didn’t win a first place trophy, they had earnt their well deserved placing by beating other individuals. Congratulations to all who had entered and braved the competition to earn their glamour. More

ATA fight draws for 2008 WA State Championships

This is an up-to-date draw at the moment (Friday June 6) of the ATA player list for the 2008 WA State Championships to be held on Sunday June 8. Included are fighters from Coolbellup, Falcon, Halls Head, Mandurah, Rockingham and Padbury.

Remember, for your fight-match, if your name is on the top then you fight as blue and if your name is on the bottom then you are red. Please look carefully at the fight-draw to figure out whether you are blue or red. Look at the fight draw number and where the two lines meet. Out of the two fighters, there will be a person on top and a person on bottom – it is very simple and straight-forward.

There shouldn’t be too many significant changes from this.

Please ensure you have your Taekwondo Australia Registration card with you for weigh-in. If you do not, then please inform your instructor immediately.
