Ten-Pin Bowling Challenge

posted by Roy Khoh at 9:26 pm in Clubs Class, Upcoming Events

We’re holding a small challenge in a different sporting arena, ten-pin-bowling.

Students (and instructors) from ATA clubs are invited to challenge the other clubs for supremacy in bowling techniques. We’re planning it to be on Sunday November 16 around 2pm in the afternoon, at AMF Rockingham. I’ll provide more links to location later this week. Google Maps and directions to AMF Rockingham.

Each player will be funding themselves, this is not a fund-raising event. The costs (including shoe hire) for adults are $14.50 for 1 game, $21 for 2 and $24 for 3. Juniors (7-14 years) is $13, $18 and $21 respectively. Kids (less than 6 years) is $10 for 1 game.

Those of you who have purchased (or access) to the kidzabuzz voucher books will find a 2 for 1 voucher for AMF Rockingham in there. The kidzabuzz voucher book is only $20. Using this once will save you $6.50 and that’s just under 1/3rd the value recouped already – from using just the one voucher; and there’s plenty more other discounts in there, too.

At this stage, we’re looking to play 2 games each. It’s definitely plenty for some of the younger bowlers and adequate enough for the adults. Some of you who use to bowl (like myself) may not find 2 games enough, though it’s plenty when you just bowl casually anyway.

We look forward to seeing you there, and to give us a fairer indication, please comment below if you can make it or not.

Rockingham class has about 6 indicating good intentions they’ll be there.

Elanie, Aneldi, Neb, Jadan, James and Douglas.
Jack may be coming too. If James is going, David will most likely play too.

    Coolbellup class has about 4.

Gail, Amira, Muhammad, Jackson. I think maybe Munirah and Chris are too small.

Depending on numbers, I might play for Coolbellup. I don’t score too well in bowling anyway. That’s why we had handicaps in league bowling.

Are the adults playing too? If so – for respective clubs also?

The Coolbellup team has lost Gail and Jackson to a family picnic.

It will just be the Ahmad-Niza family … so I will play for Coolbellup to make up the numbers.

Rockingham will lose Jadan due to him working until 14:30, he might make an appearance and possibly play for the second round.

We look forward to beating Mandurah!!!

Just a note and correction to say that there’s 4 x (2 for 1 vouchers) in the kidzabuzz book for AMF Bowling centres. For the ones at Cannington, Morley, Craigie and Rockingham.

Voucher V41. The Voucher number is on the top right corner of each voucher. It will help you identify whereabouts the voucher is. It’s all in order.

    So for a family of 1 adult and 2 juniors, you’d be saving $7 and 2 x $4.50. That’s $16. Paying $14.50 and 2 x $13.00 for 2 games each totalling $40.50 rather than $56.50.

Then later on you might want to hold a birthday party at one of these AMF bowling centres and have your child bowl for free with Vouchers V149 – V152.
